  • SUMMARY

    I am a musician and a performer. I am an artist who knows artists.

    I perform, I artistically support, produce and organize events.

    I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. I was attracted to music since the early age of 5 and have been musically active ever since. In 2001, I moved to Amsterdam where I lived, studied and worked for 7 years. The Conservatory, the University and mainly the city and the people of Amsterdam opened my musical and artistic horizons widely, leading me to fully explore the music, film and media world. In 2008 I moved back to Greece and having already entered the production field since 2006, I focused mainly in the artistic support and organization of cultural events and festivals while trying to remain musically active in Greece. Since 2001, I have been frequently visiting the island of Syros, in Cyclades, which instantly conquered me with its evident beauty, its elegance, its inherent cultural heritage, and artistic aura. Spending greater and greater time periods of my life there, I finally made the island my home base and traveling my way of living!

    In February 2021, following an invitation of the Municipal Radio Station "Agaio Live" , I am hosting and producing my own radio show titled "Contra Tempo" holding various special tributes and features on classical and film music.

    2018-2020: Music in Theater

    Participated as an on-stage musician, at the POREIA THEATRE (season 2018-2020) in Dimitris Tarlow’s (Director) theatre play “JUNKERMANN”. In collaboration with Leda Maniatakou, they created the musical adaptations, arrangements, and the live soundscape design of the play, and won the First Prize in the category “Sound Design” at the 2019 Athinorama Audience Theatre Awards.

    2018: Editor

    Music editor & content collection & development for the release of the 10 years anniversary audio album & memorabilia publication of the Cyclades Orchestra.

    2016 – Today: H.E.R.M.E.S

    Member of H.E.R.M.E.S Non-Governmental & Non-Profit Organisation for Digital Cultural Heritage aiming to record, preserve, manage and disseminate tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage in all its forms and manifestations, with the help of technology and digital applications. Active participation and contribution in their projects, events and actions.

    2006: Special researcher

    Employed by the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam” as a special researcher and collaborated with the composer Jurre Haanstra on the design of a Two Years Educational Master’s Program in "Film Music Composition". The proposal of the study guide was approved and this Department is operational since September 2007.

    2001 – Today: Performing

    Collaborates with internationally active contemporary composers (amongst who Aspasia Nasopoulou, Yannis Kyriakides, Nikos Kypourgos, etc.) for the creation of new repertoire for the recorder, maintaining up to today an active role in the “performing arts” European scene.
    Performing with various musicians in the context of "popular music", actively arranging and showcasing repertoire via a more "classical" approach, addressing different audiences .

    Member of the "The Orchestra of Cyclades" since 2012

    Under the direction of composer Nikos Kypourgos, the orchestra is active on different musical genres and performing with distinguished Greek artists around Greece amongst others: Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Nikos Portokaloglou, Dionisis Savopoulos, Alkinoos Ioannides, George Dalaras, Apostolos Rizos, Savina Giannatou, Doros Demosthenous.

    The orchestra has performed in various festivals and venues in Greece among which: Odeon of Herodes Atticus (2013, 2014), Athens Concert Hall (2015), National Theater of Northern Greece (2016)

    Collaboration with the "Hellenic Naval Band", June 2019

    For the purposes of the "Navy Week" celebrations held in Syros in 2019, I collaborated with the "Hellenic Navy Band" and participated in their open air concert at Miaouli's Square, closing the week's events. In doing so, she became the first female musician ever to perform with the Hellenic Navy Band since its founding in 1880.

    Member of the International Renaissance Ensemble “The Royal Wind Music” 2001 - 2008

    Staged in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and founded by Paul Leenhouts, the consort, a double sextet of renaissance recorders, specializes in English, German, Spanish and Italian instrumental music written between 1500 and 1640. The Royal Wind Music has toured in the USA and Europe (the Netherlands, in Germany, in Austria, France, Spain, Belgium, etc.) performing in celebrated venues (such as Royal Albert Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, etc.) and has received wide acclaim for its precision, expressiveness and spirit.

    Performing in various venues in Greece amongst others on the occasion of "Thessaloniki Cultural Capital 1997", "Trikoupia Festival" of Messologi, the "Renaissance Festival" of Rethimno, the "Balkan Square" Festival and the opening of the "65th Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center" (HELEXPO), the opening of building "M2" in Thessaloniki Concert Hall in 2010, etc.
